Two things to learn about showbiz from this Company debacle:
You can be seemingly at the absolute apex of your profession -- like Peter Cousens -- but there's always someone much more powerful, and demanding than you -- like Stephen Sondheim -- who is more than happy to publicly kick your arse.
Also, professions related to music seem to reward writers far more than others. Look at the money and power that arty types like Sondheim and McCartney possess as opposed to the meagre heft of tone-deaf wordsmiths. The latter are mere "content providers" who get about as much respect and reward as janitors in a jail.
