Baffled by stats

I'm completely mystified, people.  Traffic is still rising, and I often get 700 hits a day or more.  Yet I get buggerall comments.  I have other blogs that get a fraction of the traffic, but their posts do receive at least a trickle of feedback.

Also, I write about Australian news and politics more than any other subject, yet my local traffic is a tiny fraction of the total with the vast majority coming from -- surprise, surprise -- the USA. 

WHY?

(Eh?  What am I doing asking you lot?  I know you're not gonna say anything -- you bloody ingrates, you!)
