Just a thought on why there seem to be so many famous people carking it of late:  It seems like some sort of weird epidemic, but I suspect it's just a function of our celeb-obsessed, media-saturated age. 

What with pay TV and the internet, etc, there are heaps more ways people can become well known.  Hence there are more famous people than ever before.  The larger the sample, the larger the number of deaths.  It's a statistical certainty, basically.   

Reckon that's right, or do you have a different answer?
