Mandarin man in Beijing's bag?

A little while ago I said that Kevin Rudd was trying to emulate China's authoritarian approach to government because he was such a sinophile.  I was joking, but the observation could have been accurate nonetheless.  See, his party is now following China's lead with its zero-tolerance approach to plastic bags.

I reckon his next nod to China will be a structure in front of Parliament House.  The name:  The Gate of Kevinly Peace.  Then we'll know for sure he really is Tiananmen's square. 

Nyuck, nyuck.
