While the death of Heath Ledger was a terribly sad event, I do think people are over-reacting a little ...
I mean, bloke was a really good actor, no doubt about it. And he was clearly a kind and sensitive soul (with more than his share of demons, of course) who had heaps more to give to the world.
But just about every arty wanker I've heard interviewed has been weeping and wailing like he was some kind of thespian Mozart with the soul of Gandhi. I mean, fair enough if they were close to him -- but these were people who only met him a coupla times, or worked with him briefly. It's starting to irk me, big time.
